To start, it's good to know what your brewing method is. Depending on if you do pour over or espresso, we'll recommend filter or espresso roasted beans. If you contact us at 49th [email protected], we'll be happy to offer recommendations.
Our filter coffees are not roasted to be soluble enough for espresso. You may experience thin and sour/sharp espresso that lacks sweetness if using filter roasts
Our coffee is always 100% arabica beans and the tasting notes we suggest are naturally occurring notes from the beans' origins. From person to person, everyone's perceptual tastes are different though.
----For our light roast, we want to highlight origin flavours of our coffees such as our single origins. These will be more bright, acidic, floral, and/or fruit-forward in profile; country, region, elevation, variety, and process method.
----For our medium roast, it will have more body than our light roast. A more balanced flavour, aroma, and acidity between origin and roast flavours.
----For our dark roast, we want to highlight the roasting flavours. These will taste generally bolder, bitter taste which could remind you of chocolatey, cocoa, and dark caramel flavours.
